The Story of WAVE

Centuries ago, when brave explorers embarked upon seas in search of new lands, indigenous spices and other raw materials, they would find ports along the way where they would seek respite from the rigors of their journey.  There, they would be greeted by the citizens of each new land, exchange valuables and learn more about one another's culture.  Trading complete, these acquaintances would gather as evening fell, sharing tables full of food and drink well into the night. Needless to say, fast friendships were formed.

At WAVE, we capture the centuries old experience in a very modern way. As we are situated within the W Chicago – Lakeshore, our tables are always filled with locals and travelers who have gathered together for matters of business and pleasure. It is our hope however, that after an evening at WAVE, everyone leaves as friends.

Please enjoy our vibrant menu of sharing plates inspired by the cuisines of the Southern Mediterranean.  We encourage you to jump right in and be adventurous, sample a series of different plates and enjoy the playful spice combinations with your dining guests.  Better yet, pair our sharing plates with a pitcher of our signature sangrias and make the evening festive. A meal at WAVE is a celebration honoring the adventure of new flavors and the importance of fond friendships, new and old, around a table of wonderful food and drink.
